ENHANCED EVAPORATION FOR MINING

Quickly Reduce Water Volumes and Lower Environmental Liability

Traditional mine operations use large tailings ponds to store and evaporate process water.  This method is extremely time consuming and uses large land areas that will eventually need clean up and re-vegetation, often making the construction of additional capacity infeasible.

UNDERGROUND AND SURFACE MINING

The SolarMultiple Enhanced Evaporation System can be used at existing ponds to dramatically increase evaporation without the need for new ponds to be built.  While other systems may fail to perform in the winter, the SolarMultiple System can be used year-round, under the harshest of conditions with no concern for overspray or water quality.

SOLUTION AND BRINE MINING

Solution and brine mining can also benefit from this system because of its resistance to scaling and lack of overspray ensures minerals are returned to the pond.  Brines can be concentrated much faster and to higher concentrations so that the final processing of material is more efficient.

WHAT SETS US APART

  • Lowest cost water management

  • Effective at high TDS & TSS – No scaling or clogging of filters

  • Year-round operations – No freezing

  • Remote Monitoring and Operations

  • Low Maintenance

  • Flexible heating options (Solar, Waste Heat, Gas)

  • No concern for pH

  • No overspray

Designing out the deficiencies inherent to traditional mechanical evaporators and far less expensive than filtration and chemical dosing, the SolarMultiple System is a generational leap forward to quickly lower water volumes and reduce environmental liability.  Contact us to find out what we can do for you.
